Join a Reef Restoration + Snorkel Tour to visit the largest reef restoration site in Bali. During this tour, you will learn about reef restoration and help plant coral fragments on an artificial reef structure called a reef star. This hands-on activity takes place on a purpose-rebuilt pontoon directly above the restored reef and includes an introduction to corals and a briefing on Livingseas’ current coral reef building project in Padangbai. After the briefing, you'll take a short boat ride to a pontoon where you can take action and get into the actual coral planting by attaching coral fragments to metal steel structures known as reef stars. Then it's time to put on your snorkeling gear and explore the newly restored coral reef while our divers install the reef stars on the ocean floor. It's a great opportunity to witness the beauty of the reef up close.
Participants can also purchase additional reef star structures for only IDR 450k to increase their impact on the ocean.
